It seems that one has to begin "somewhere" (in life) to begin a story that really is a journey. I appreciate passion. I love how it drives me to challenge myself around so many creative ideas. I thrive on the energy i get when i talk to another glass artist. there is so much information that the conversations can be endless and so filled with PASSION! Passion drives me to higher levels of learning. i may read a book (and i have many that i read more than once. so much to learn.)or i may take on a new project (like building a clock or a kaleidescope) and ignite more of my love of glass with a new idea.
Recently (4 months ago) i had a kidney transplant. i have been healing for 4 months and i am ready to really focus on my work again. My partner Katie and I have a patnership that works for us and we are usually on the same page. The economy has effected our finances and so we have decided to down size. we have been plugging along for two years here in Mckinleyville and we are going to save a sizeable amount of money by moving. we have a beautiful old barn that will become our new "PRIVATE"studio. our sales will be done on the internet so we can reach a broader audience and really focus on one of a kind kiln-formed art glass for the fine dining table and interior designers and catering for private home companies. follow me, my thoughts on this journey will be entertaining if not informative. In Spirit, MO p.s. pictures soon.
